I encourage anyone who reads this to go out and buy EVERY VOLUME of the Take Action Tour's yearly compilations. The CDs have great bands on them, like Emery, Every Time I Die, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Early November, etc. But here's the best part... 5% of the proceeds go to different organizations every year... One year it was the Youth of America Hotline, and another it was the Do Something organization.... Well worth the $10 of the CD. And it comes with a DVD with 20+ music videos on it. So if you like music, and helping non-profit organizations, buy it. You won't regret it. | | |
| The wierdest thing happened yesterday... I talked to my sister, who I haven't seen in months. It was wierd. Thank you, Jesus! | | |
| OK. I'm starting a new project on here. I need a title for it, so ideas would be nice. Its a comic strip type of deal set in a high school. The main character's name is Geoff Lacey, after two of my favorite bands lead singers. Geoff Rickly is the lead singer of Thursday, and Jesse Lacey is the lead singer of Brand New. Its basically going to tell the life of an average high school. It will follow several main characters, all being in different cliques, and all knowing each other, but not necessarily friends. Its going to be more like a bunch of story lines that all intertwine and all of the characters will have "run ins" with each other, but not see how their lives affect the others. Its hard to explain. I see it more like a bunch of high school kids, all knowing each other from classes and whatnot, and all making decisions that affect the others in different ways. They all know each other, but aren't friends, and the story follows their every day lives, and it'll show how they're all the same, even though they come from different backgrounds, and different upbringings, but they're all human, with the same problems and deal with the same issues. It will be interesting. I still need a title... I also am experimenting with an idea about a soundtrack: Okay I Believe You, but My Tommy Gun Don't - Brand New The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows - Brand New Seventy Times Seven - Brand New Degausser - Brand New Millstone - Brand New I'm Ready - Jack's Mannequin Closer - The Fold Younger Than Our Years - The Fold The Future is Now - Spitalfield What You Want - The Starting Line Buried Myself Alive - The Used Let it Bleed - The Used Four Word Letter - mewithoutYou Futures - Jimmy Eat World Bleed American - Jimmy Eat World The Middle - Jimmy Eat World Lonely Nights - Saves the Day Through Being Cool - Saves the Day Auotobiography of a Nation - Thursday Cross Out The Eyes - Thursday Division St. - Thursday Oxygen - New Found Glory My Friends Over You - New Found Glory China White - He Is Legend The Seduction - He Is Legend I Am Hollywood - He Is Legend Swift and Unforgiving - Boys Night Out | | |
| I can't wait to see all the amazing things God is doing... | | |
| Faith. Faith is doing what God tells you and believing in Him without question. Whether that means telling the guys at work that make fun of your beliefs that Jesus died for them, or if it means jumping off of a cliff. --- Now, let me explain what I meant by that last statement. Greg told me about a vision he had of people dressed in white jumping from a cliff and floating paper... (Drop a piece of paper from a considerable height... Like that...) Well, last night when we prayed for God to give us a vision, I had a similair vision... I was standing on a cliff. I was questioning God, like, "Why am I hear? Do you want me to jump?" I got a faint, almost nonexistant response... "Yes." "But I'll die!" I argued... "Have faith..." Was his reply. So I jumped. But instead of falling... I flew. Now, I don't want to sound crazy, but thats what faith is... Believing that our wildest dreams are ours. I was so afraid of death, but in the end, I trusted God enough to do what He asked. Why is that so hard? I also had another vision, shortly after... This one was in response to having faith... I haven't drawn or painted in almost a month. The last drawing I drew was on December 23rd. Some know the reason I haven't drawn. Its personal, so I won't post it. But the last drawing I drew remains unfinished. It was a Christmas present. It was a sketch for a painting. I never finished it, and I haven't drawn or painted since. Not for real, anyways. I've tried, and I've used MS Paint, but I haven't used the gift God gave me. But last night, I feel God restored me. The second half of the vision, I was standing in a room. It was bright white. Almost blinding. An angel came to me in the vision, and touched my hands. Now, I don't know why, but I got flashes of images in my head that will probably come out on paper or on canvas... I know this was God inspiring me and telling me my gift was restored. I don't know exactly what to do next... but have faith that my gifts have been restored. --- Now, I wrote all this to say this: God can be with you wherever you are. Today at work, when I was working by myself, I felt God was with me. He was standing next to me in the freezer at McDonalds, at the grill, in the break room, etc. Whenever I was alone and I could focus on Him, I felt Him with me. Jess said God you can spend time with God wherever and whenever. That proved it to me. My relationship with God has been better the last 24 hours. I have some work to do to paint and draw my vision. Expect me to post it in the future. Is it really what you wanted to say? And no, I never even gave it a thought, but i know we can't stay the same Is it ever what you wanted to be? Or am I living in the same old dream? The one where nothing is as it seems... | | |
